Volunteers are the “Driving Force” behind Meals-on-Wheels of White Plains. There are many, many volunteers dedicated to delivering “more than a meal” to those in White Plains who are not able to shop or cook for themselves.
Students and interns from area colleges and universities, and on occasion from high schools, have been and continue to be a vital component of Meals-on-Wheels of White Plains’ army of volunteers. We have asked these young people use their energy and enthusiasm to be our voice and tell the Meals-on-Wheels story.
Our story will be told in multiple ways, because no one method of communication, of story telling, is followed, listened to, or read by everyone. On this page the Meals-on-Wheels story will appear as a Blog.
There is Doors, our podcast. On Instagram there are “Driving Force” Reels, aka – short videos. More stories, news as it occurs, and cross-links will be posted on our Facebook and LinkedIn pages.
If you want to do good in this world, make a real difference in the lives of others, this is a great place to start. Volunteers to help us tell stories are always welcome.
